Goals:
I am currently looking
for a career opportunity in the Seattle/Kent area that will utilize my
skills and training in working with people, community organizing,
program and project development and implementation, disaster
preparedness, recruiting, training and volunteer coordination.
Summer 2011: Graduate with a Masters in
Organizational Change from Hawaii Pacific University.
Summer 2010: Obtained Internship with India Social
Service Institute for 6 weeks working with the villagers on economic
development and sustainability. Was able to assist them with providing
space and shelter for a children with disabilities.
2009-2010: My first year Master's program at Hawaii
Pacific University in Masters in Organization Change with a Certificate
in Disaster Preparedness. Current GPA 4.0. I joined the Auburn Club of
Kiwanis and developed this years One Day service event. I volunteered
for the food bank, the homeless shelter, and working with children and
youth.
I received my Bachelors of Art in Human Services June 2008 from Western
Washington University at Bellingham. I also received distinguished Vice
Chair of Service from Western's Kiwanis Circle K club, and the
distinguished Pacific Northwest Division International Chair for taking
21 students to Jamaica to help build a cafeteria. I completed a Summer
Internship in Kenya working with youth on AIDS/HIV awareness. I also
completed an Internship with the United Way where I helped organize an
Awards Dinner, and I spent over a year working with the American Red
Cross in Bellingham becoming Internationally disaster certified and
volunteer coordinator.
I received the "Lewis Award" for being the most well rounded graduating
sophomore that contributed to the wellbeing of the college and other
students. I received the 2005-2006 Gavel Award for being the
Associated Student Body President. Received an Associates of Arts in
General Studies with a 3.6 GPA
