WORK EXPERIENCE
YMCA - Summer 2001 Camp Counselor 35 Hours a week X 7 Weeks 2001 Responsible for organizing children's events and activities during the summer break. Over 60 kids attend the YMCA camp and we provided activities that are fun and entertaining. Successfully encouraged students to set reading goals for the summer and accomplishing the task.
Westgate Homework Center Facilitator - Salvation Army 6 hours a week 2000-2001 Monday through Thursday. I tutored and helped over 20 elementary age students do homework, plus organizing a reward system for good behavior and academic success.. 
Camp Cook and Counselor - Salvation Army Summer 2000
Responsible for providing snacks and noon meal to summer camper and providing supervision of kids at camp.
Amistad Homework Center Helper - Salvation Army 6 hours a week 99-00 Monday through Thursday. I tutor and helped over 20 elementary age students do homework. This includes math, reading, writing and special assignments. 
Camp Counselor- Arc of the Tri-Cities  1999- Columbia Industries 30 hours a week X 7 weeks 99 Responsible for children with developmental disabilities to ensure their summer camp experience was fun. Took them swimming, skating, to the movies, and played with them.

: Completed 40 hours training 2001 and volunteer over 10 hours a month answering the teen crisis line.
Computers for Girls:  2001-2002 Work with low-income girls, mainly Hispanic, providing recycled computers and training. See www.y2kyouth.org for more information.
Homework Packets for Migrant Worker Children: Obtained donations to put together 60 homework packets in Spanish and English, with educational appropriate activities.
Organized and produced the 1999 and 2000  SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) conferences.Founded local chapter of SAVE 1999
