2007-2008: June 2008: I graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham with my Bachelors of Art in Human Services. Spring Quarter 08: I am organizing a trip to Jamaica for Spring Break to help build a cafeteria for a school. Winter Quarter 08: I and my brother have been selected as Congressional District Representatives to the Youth Party for Presidency sponsored by www.mobilize.org during Winter break. Fall Quarter 07: Upon returning from Kenya I immediately got involved with the organizations that help people in Africa and have participated in fund raising events. I work at the local elementary school helping kids learn about Africa and what they can do to help. I also have accepted an Internship preparing for disaster relief work with the local Red Cross. Within a week of returning from Africa I gave a presentation, one of many scheduled on my work in Kenya. This is my fourth year I will receive the Education is Freedom Scholarship scholarship, plus new this USA Funds and Scottish Rite Scholarships. Summer Quarter 07: I spent 10 weeks in Kenya at the Rabour Village Project as an intern working with orphaned children from HIV/AIDS and developing and implementing HIV/AIDS prevention awareness. |

2006-2007: Spring Quarter 07: I was selected Global Service Chair Pacific Northwest District of Circle K International, and accepted as an intern for summer to the Rabuor Village Project. Winter Quarter 07: I was elected Vice President of Service for Circle K, and have accepted an Internship as an event planner for the United Way, Fall Quarter 06: I have started my first quarter at Western Washington University in Bellingham to complete my Bachelors degree in Human Services. I was hired in the Resident Life office as a student worker and have become a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts, and recently jointed Western's Kiwanis Circle K Club. Summer Quarter 06: I attended the American University of Paris for the summer taking a class in Art History. See my Summer In Paris pictures. This is my third year I will receive the Education is Freedom Scholarship. |

2005-2006: I received the “Lewis Award”, the top award for a sophomore graduating from Skagit Valley College for being a good student, and above all else helping others to be good students. I was elected President of the Skagit Valley College Associated Student Body and during my first quarter I implemented the Chain of Hope to raise funds for the evacuees coming to Skagit Valley College after Katrina. I am also a Resident Assistant that monitors the student housing activities; a Peer Counselor where I have developed a Relationships and Ethics Seminars; an Event Monitor where I have helped to make events and activities at Skagit Valley successful and fun. I received the Education is Freedom Scholarship, Target All Around Scholarship, and the American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship for 2005-6. |

2004-2005: I became a freshman at Skagit Valley College in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Since then I have volunteered to help get the vote out, and staffed the voters booth on election day. I developed along with school mates a magazine called "Choices" to help young women with reproductive choices. My first and second quarter at Skagit Valley I was on the Dean's list. January 2005 I was elected to be a Student Body Representative, and by March 2005 I was elected to be Secretary of the ASB. I developed activities to raise funds for the Tsunami victims. |

2003-2004 : This year was extraordinary. I worked as an AmeriCorps in South Carolina, building houses, trail blazing, tutoring children, and making wonderful friends. In January2004 I got to go the United Nations in New York, where an Exhibit of Building a Culture of Peace was opening, and I was one of the many international Peace Builders. I was honored by Harris Wolford as the National Youth Volunteer for 2004. During Summer 2004 I was selected to attend the Young Women's Leadership Conference at Lesley College and attend the Democratic Convention |

2002-2003: My senior year at Kennewick High School was really fun, I got a trip to Washington D.C. as an AT&T. Young Leader, finished my Girl Scout Gold Award, and was a Board Member for the National Youth Action Council. I became one of three young women of distinction and received the Total Women Award. |

2001-2002: 9-11 will always stick in our minds, and I helped to raise over $21,000 for the relief efforts. Our high school band participated in the New Years Rose Parade in Pasadena, and shortly after that I went to France for 6 months as a foreign exchange student. I was selected as a Giraffe - One who sticks their neck out to improve the world. I started Y2KYOUTH.org. | |

2000-2001: During my sophomore year in high school, I was able to go to Boston and study with Eli Weasel, a Nobel Peace Prize recipient. I also got to go to New York for the Eleanor Roosevelt Girls Leadership Conference. A very special treat was going to Los Angeles and being honored as one of Nestles Very Best In Youth. I received the National Youth Peacemaker award from MAVIA. |

1999-2000: In 2000 and 2001 I put on Students Against Violence Everywhere retreats to show youth how to prevent violence in schools. For this I got to go to Disney World as one of the Millennium Dreamers, I received the Local Hero Award where I got to meet the Backstreet Boys, and attended a leadership breakfast with Nelson Mandela. |

1998-1999: In 8th grade I was selected to participate with 1000 kids around the world, using technology to communicate with the MIT Junior Summit. I submitted my first web page Youth Speak Out. I was one of 5 and the youngest to receive the MTV Youth Heroes Award. I was also selected as one of seven Global Award Youth Peace and Tolerance Award recipients. |
