celebration highlighting civic pride and the spirit of volunteerism the Tri-Cities. The
third year of this successful, family-oriented event will include 10k, 5k and 1 mile
run/walks. Participants will be drawn from throughout the Pacific Northwest. |

The Volunteer Center assists many target groups with their
volunteer needs: youth, seniors, families, employees, nonprofit agencies and the general
community. Each program furthers the effectiveness of its constituency and needs financial
assistance to operate in the most efficient manner possible. For details on how you can

Skills Registry Bank |
This program captures volunteers who have
specialized skills such as financial planning, counseling, graphic arts, marketing, etc.
and are willing to volunteer with nonprofit agencies on an as-needed basis. The Registry
program is perfect for volunteers who are interested in short-term volunteering while
working with a variety of nonprofit agencies. When a qualified nonprofit agency notifies
us of a need that matches your skills, you will be contacted by the agency to determine
your interest and availability. If you would like to participate in our Volunteer Skills
Registry Bank, please print out registration form,
fill it out and bring to the Volunteer Center for your initial interview.
The Youth Program Council is designed to promote community service and volunteerism, to
educate students (ages 12-18) about community needs and to link students with community
organizations. Council members represent the ideas and voice of youth in Benton Franklin
Counties.

and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) |
RSVP, a nationwide program, recruits and involves senior individuals (age 55 and older)
in meaningful volunteer community service. Senior volunteers and their interests are
linked with nonprofit agencies where their talents, knowledge, experience and time are
