Y2KYouth.org: Using technology for peace - For eleven years I have run my own organization to help youth learn and use technology for peace. I have set up web sites / programs / and information to encourage youth to make a difference in their local, national and international communities. There are volunteer activities for all ages. Most recently The United Nations Volunteer has set up a lesson plan for teachers world wide to teach peace and tolerance, and I am honored to be one of those examples. Ball State University Center for Peace and Conflict Studies class in Introduction to Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution uses me as an example to promote peace and tolerance. I have been featured in many peace making and hero web sites and most recently Women Without Borders-The Art of Having it All a powerful women's blog Featuring women from all walks of life who have made a difference.

Work, School, and Volunteer Information: I am in my first year Masters program in Organizational Change with an emphasis on Disaster Management and Assessment from Hawaii Pacific University. I completed my first year with a 4.0, and looking forward to my graduation 3/14/11 in Hawaii. I will be an intern in India, the ISSI Indian Society, this summer which will support my studies in Disaster Management. I am continuing to work as a Paraeducator with children with special needs. I also tutor children to help fund my trips. I am a Auburn Valley Kiwanis Club and have been elected Vice President this year. Please join me in helping others in my community

Personal Information: This summer my partner of 7 years Mike Buck and we bought a house in Kent, Washington. On my birthday - Thanksgiving Day Mike Buck proposed and gave me a beautiful ring.
