Building a Culture of Peace for Children Exhibit  2004

 




Y2Kyouth.org: Using technology for peace - For eleven years I have run my own organization to help youth learn and use technology for peace. I have set up web sites, programs, and information to encourage youth to make a difference in their local, national, and international communities. There are volunteer activities for all ages.

Award & Honors: Most recently The United Nations Volunteer has set up a lesson plan for teachers world wide to teach peace and tolerance, and I am honored to be one of those examples.
Ball State University
Center for Peace and Conflict Studies class in Introduction to Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution uses me as an example to promote peace and tolerance.

Work, Education, and Volunteer Information:  I completed my first year with a 4.0, Masters program in Organizational Change with an emphasis on Disaster Management and Assessment from Hawaii Pacific University, and looking forward to my graduation 3/14/11 in Hawaii.
I am an intern in India, the
ISSI Indian Society, this summer which will support my studies in Disaster Management.
I am continuing to work as a paraeducator with children with special needs. I also tutor children to help fund my trips.
I am a Auburn Valley Kiwanis Club and have been elected Vice President this year. Please join me in helping others in my community.
I am planning on marrying my dearest lifelong friend Mike Buck, 11/11/2011 in Palm Springs. Please let me know if you can make this celebration.

Goals: I am currently looking to obtain full time employment in the Seattle area utilizing my educational, communication, and community organizational skills to help local, national, or international communities.
